lyrics

A More Equal Punishment

Maybe I'm more like Sisyphus, a more equal punishment.
I'll treat that rock like a treasure on the days that never end.
When we fell upon each other in the darkness of your room,
The movement of our bodies was like a secret I had exhumed.

I loved you like a cold night.
You were the thrill of a bar fight.
I don't believe it's so.
I just cannot let you go.

I found a life on Caucasus. An eagle as my friend.
I painted with my blood darling, y'know I spread it all too thin.
I learned then how to love her, but love is transient.
I forgot what I'd learned just as quickly once again.
